Hi. My name is Leona, I’m a lover of all things outdoors, welcome to my world!! Some brief info about me.. I’m in my 20s, i’ve lived in the lovely state of Maryland my entire life and my place of education is Howard University, major in Political Science. Despite living in Maryland my entire life, i’ve done a bit of traveling within and outside of the US.  I’m a 3/4 year (raw) vegan (i’ve lost track of time) and before that I was vegetarian roughly 2 years. This is a major part of my life!  I am the person I am now bc I have remained open to change and knowledge. I love trying new things and I am a self proclaimed environmental activist.

Though it seems as though health and environmental concerns have garnered attention in the US, it seems to still be somewhat taboo in the African American community. Therefore though this is not a racial based blog, on occasion I will address issues that relate directly to people of color, because there does not seem to be a large echoing voice in this realm.
