With Abundance Comes a lot of S(tuff)!!

Im looking forward to writing more posts soon.. Very soon. As in starting tomorrow haha. I look forward to posting everyday at least until my birthday on January 9. A lot of exciting eco, outdoor, health, vegan, and holistic posts coming your way 😀 . Today Ill leave you with a personal story entitled “With Abundance Comes a lot of S&%^” and ill try to make this quick..

There’s a tree in my front yard that every winter once the leaves fall off it has thousands of berries that the birds love to eat. I mean tons. Well, the other day I watched as what appeared to be over 100 birds fly in the tree at once to eat and then repeat the process for 10 minutes leaving and coming back. I couldn’t help but be grateful for such abundance in my yard, I mean look at all those birds the tree was feeding. How abundant I thought. Without a thought, an hour later I prepared to leave my house to run errands, and to my surprise, guess what gift the birds left me on my car?? Yep. You got it. S*&^! Or for more common terminology, poop. Now this isn’t your ordinary bird poop. This is red berry bird poop, and when I say it was everywhere on my car, there were over 50 hits of target practice including on all my windows, handles, just everywhere, sigh. I was actually embarrassed. So embarrassed that for the first time in like 7 years I took my car to the car wash ( I usually get someone to wash it by hand).. and I thought to myself, why did it take such a circumstance for me to give my car 5 star service. Sometimes we won’t be rocked to greatness until life throws some stuff our way 😉 . The key is, don’t let it get to that point. But also, be clear, sometimes it’s unavoidable and perhaps,

The More the Abundance, The More S(tuff) You Should be Prepared to Handle… sometimes it just comes with the territory.        Happy Holidays!!!

If you have any cool holiday stories please share. Hopefully they aren’t as gross as mine. lol

Fall Activities! Moooo -ve On Over Summer

In the coming weeks i’ll be sharing some fall activities that’ll be great for children, families, dates, etcetera. Just because it’s getting cooler doesnt mean your activities have to be dull. In fact, now is the time to get out, the weather is perfect. Not only will the activities I share be packed with fun and economical, there will be many ways to make your trip more eco friendly. First stop on the fall activity train???

A farm. Yes, visit a  farm. Most states in the US, have local farms, or a State Park that has something like a farm. This is a perfect activity for children ages 3-9, and more often than not, the farm will have hayrides considering the season. While farms are usually free, you may have to pay a small fee for hay rides. Bring your own lunch, reusable water bottle, and enjoy a nice outing. I had a doting 3 year old with me last week and she enjoyed every minute of the farm and carousel ride. Going home was quite the challenge.

Have you been to the farm yet?? Don’t forget to pack your own lunch.

A Season of Change!!!

Hey guys and gals, I’d first like to say, happy autumn!!! My favorite season has finally arrived and the crisp fresh air brings my lungs great joy as the night rolls around. I LOVE everything fall represents, including change. Now, I must say, I have never been a fan of change, and in my former days (yesterday) squealed at the thought of even changing something as small as decorations. I love familiarness (whoa… thats a word?? Score!! haha) and stability, I guess it makes me feel, eh, secure??

Anyway, i’ve grown. Might be this sort of midlife crisis expanding phase I like to pretend i’m in.. or shall we just call it the mid 20s omg im close to 30 phase. Anyway, i’m so excited for the future and my desire to travel has been itching at my back. My feeling about traveling is the same some my get when they find the last shoe in their size on the rack, or when your football team is going to the super bowl, or you find $5 or even $20 in your pocket you didn’t know was there. Yes, its like that. It fills me! I look forward to filling my passport book with many more stamps before i’m 30. Luckily, I have a few that i’m already proud of from Tanzania, Kenya, Zanzibar, and Australia. Here’s a toast to change!!!

Are you as excited about autumn as I am?? What have you changed that was hard, but now embrace?
